Terms of Competition & Registration

Published: October 2026 · Mindanao Jiu Jitsu Federation (MJJF)

1. Tournament Registration & Deadlines

All athletes competing in MJJF-sanctioned events must hold an active, non-expired federation membership. Registration entries are secured upon upload of valid payment proof (GCash, Maya, or Bank Deposit) and finalized upon secretariat reconciliation. Registration closes strictly on published deadlines; no on-the-day registrations are permitted.

2. Weigh-In & Disqualification Protocol

Athletes weigh in with competition uniform on immediately before their first match. A calibrated 500g allowance is provided on the official digital scale. Athletes failing to make weight or failing Gi inspection are automatically disqualified without refund or re-bracket. No second weigh-in attempts are granted.

3. Checkday Protocol for Solo Brackets

If an athlete remains the sole competitor in a division at the close of the registration window, they may elect to merge up one weight class, merge down one age division, or accept a Walkover Gold medal pursuant to §4.4 of the MJJF regulations.

4. Sportsmanship & Safe Sport

Disrespect toward referees, table coordinators, opposing coaches, or competitors will result in immediate venue ejection and potential suspension by the Mindanao Black Belt Council. Coaches must hold verified MJJF corner credentials to access the mat barrier.
